EN’s Most Impressive Saves of 2018

In a sport full of thrills and spills, we know one thing for sure: you guys just don’t give up! Year after year, you guys show up, show out and hang on for dear life. We’ve rounded up some of the most impressive saves of the year. Check it out and let us know who you think did it best in the comments.

1. Presenter Hayley Moore saved the day at Chepstow Racecourse in a move that’s being called a ‘Save in a Sundress.’

2. Aaron Kuru and Des De Jeu nearly bit the dust racing at Awapuni in New Zealand, but they not only managed to save it, they won the race.

3. Red on the right, white on the left and insanity in the middle rang true for Sam Griffiths and Paulank Kings River at Millstreet. That’s a horse who knows his job!

What a Save! I think Sam Griffiths gets save of the year so far! PAULANK KINGS RIVER is such an honest horse, and how they actually made the angled brush after the bank together I have no idea, great riding Sam! #millstreet #cci3*

4. Nicola Wilson and One Two Many had a very dramatic moment at Bramham that nearly had them both swimming.

5. Switzerland’s Robin Godel and Grandeur de Lully CH made their save on the world stage when a dodgy fence nearly squashed their WEG dreams. EN’s Leslie Threlkeld then captured the most epic sequence of photos.
