Friday Afternoon Chats with Boyd Martin and Sinead Halpin

Boyd is chilling on the sidelines this weekend, playing coach and cheerleader while he recovers from his broken leg. He’s still got plenty to do, as he’s got several students riding and is also keeping an eye on Phillip riding Trading Aces. Luckily, Boyd is in good spirits and is happy to be here in Kentucky regardless of his role. Boyd plans to be back in the saddle in time to compete at Jersey Fresh in a couple of weeks, so fingers crossed that the recovery continues to go well. He was walking pretty well with a little assistance of a cane today, so all looks good in Camp Martin.

Sinead Halpin did her dressage yesterday with The French Princess, and while she thought the test was better than the score reflects, she still finds herself currently in the top 10 going into tomorrow. Manoir de Carneville relishes cross country, so it should be a treat as always to see them out there doing their thing tomorrow.

Many thanks to Boyd and Sinead and lending me a few moments of their time on a busy weekend, and stay tuned for more commentary later on. Go Rolex.
