With the sudden cancellation of Kelly’s Ford recognized horse trials for both July and November, the USEA was delighted to have Full Moon Farm immediately offer to fill that spot on the calendar for July. Usually, FMF offers an unrecognized “Aloha” event during that weekend, and they are really pulling out all the stops to make the new recognized competition just as much fun. While you won’t be allowed to wear a crazy outfit in dressage, you might still get lei’d after cross country!

Meanwhile, across the pond at Bramham CCI3*, Jenny Caras is doing us proud by leading after dressage for the Under 25 division.  Nine of the 19 combinations in the Bishop Burton College Under 25 CCI3* division performed their dressage test yesterday. Under the guidance of USEF Eventing Developing Rider Coach Leslie Law, Jenny Caras had an excellent test with Fernhill Fortitude to sit atop the leaderboard with a score of 48.9 at the end of the first day of competition. Jenny is competing at Bramham as part of the Karen Stives European Developing Tour with the help of a Karen Stives Endowment Fund for High Performance Eventing Grant. The second leg of the inaugural Event Rider Masters (ERM) is set to take place at this weekend’s EQUI-TREK Bramham International Horse Trials in Yorkshire. With a total of £50,000 up for grabs this weekend, there is everything to play for. Forty horse and rider pairs representing eleven nations feature in an incredible line up of Olympians and Olympic hopefuls alike. Clark Montgomery is a favorite to win, having proven that he can finish a CIC3* with a score in the 30’s with Loughan Glen. [ERM Championship at Bramham] [Live Stream]

Here’s the deal on the Belmont tomorrow. Do you need to read up on all your stats of the competitors? New York Times has you covered for the mile-and-a-half top class race featuring some of the best three-year-olds in the country. [Here’s Who We Think Will Win]

Why should the horses get all the fun with thermal therapy? Spoil your pooch with a Back On Track Mesh Dog Blanket! The BOT signature ceramic fabric reflects your dog’s own body heat to create soothing relief for sore muscles and joints, and the mesh is very breathable so they don’t overheat. This blanket comes in many different sizes for all the differently shaped mutts in your barn. [SmartPak Product of the Day]
