Good morning! It’s been a soggy weekend thus far in Tallahassee, where the Red Hills International Horse Trials are underway. The forecast for the remainder of the weekend looks much more promising, so here’s hoping the rain has passed so that we can enjoy some good old fashioned spring eventing! In the week’s (unfortunately) biggest news, Silva Martin remains in stable condition at Del Ray Medical Center after sustaining injuries from a freak accident. Boyd traveled back from the hospital to continue competing at Red Hills, putting new meaning to the phrase “the show must go on.” Here’s to a successful weekend for Boyd and the speediest of recoveries for Silva.

Thanks to Lorraine Jackson at Horse Nation, we now have a handy list of barn life hacks to reference. Fishing line instead of thread when repairing tears? Lemon juice to remove sweat stains? I wish I was smart enough to come up with these ideas. [HN: Barn Life Hacks]

Are you sick of winter and, therefore, weighing the pros and cons of hiking to Aiken or Ocala next year? Chris Stafford, of the USEA Podcast Channel, spoke with Sharon White and Boyd Martin on the differences and benefits of each location. After this year, I might be more keen to choose Ocala, but both Sharon and Boyd bring up several good points. [Aiken or Ocala?]
