Friday Video from World Equestrian Brands: Meet Freddie Mac

William Fox-Pitt has two former Rolex winners entered in this year’s event with Bay My Hero and Parklane Hawk, but he’ll also be bringing a first-timer in Freddie Mac, an 11-year-old gelding by Herocity out of Gotara.

Owned by Lady Best and Jane Kier, Freddie Mac joined the Fox-Pitt Eventing team in 2011 after being sourced by Joanne Bridgman. He finished second in the CCI3* at Blenheim last September and also finished third in his first CCI3* start at Bramham last June.

Freddie Mac started his 2015 season yesterday, competing in an Intermediate section at Tweseldown, where he finished ninth with just time penalties added onto his dressage score of 29.8.

Thanks to our good friend, David Robinson, we are able to get a sneak peek at Freddie Mac in his first outing of the season. We’re sure William will have his latest four-star mount primed for his first Rolex start.

After all, Bay My Hero won a watch on his first try — why not go for another rookie win? With #eventingjesus in the irons, anything is possible. What do you think of Freddie Mac, EN?
