Darren Pleads Not Guilty

Olympian Darren Chiacchia had a plea of not guilty entered on his behalf Tuesday to felony charges of not disclosing that he was HIV positive to a sexual partner.
Prosecutors charged Darren with a first degree felony, meaning they believe he committed multiple violations.
Darren's lawyer said that he would be very surprised if the case went to trial.
The case is due before a judge again in late spring. EN coverage
I disagree with the above comment entirely. I do hear and understand the argument. It is certainly a valid consideration however, things do take a whole new turn when the person in question has in the past, and intends in the future, to represent the country in sport.

I don't agree with what he did BUT we are on this site to view "eventing" news ....not personal news. This is a story I would have been better off not knowing, it really is none of anyones business, and doesn't affect how he rides or trains. I think this man has been through enough over the past few years he doesn't need his reputation trashed as well. Lets stick to horses please :)
