Notes: Another great Rocking Horse spring season concludes this weekend.  Buck's My Boy Bobby is entered in the OP-A, and David is entered on one ride.  Also, if you will be at the event look out for EN, rumor has it that we might get a special shout-out.

Full Gallop (SC): Homepage, Ride Times, Live Scores, Weather

Notes: Brandenburg's Joshua, Connought, and The Foreman are all entered at Full Gallop this weekend.  This should be a good early look at Brandenburg's Joshua and Connaught this spring.  If Connaught and The Foreman keep competing through the spring, Phillip will have one of the strongest arsenals in the history of US eventing going into the spring 3-days.

Notes: Remember competitors, the stalls don't come with bedding so pack your own.  This is a warmup for SoPo 2, which will have some big horses going in the Advanced.

It is exciting to see who is going where and doing what!! Something that caught me off guard - My Boy Bobby in the OP-A? Is Buck starting him off slowly? Also, and I might be completely out of the loop, but why haven't I seen Karen O and That's Smart at anything recent...even in the past year? Is the big grey okay? If anyone can help, that would be great.
Thanks!

>>Anon: That's Smart has moved on to pursue a career in the hunter/jumper world, enough said. My Boy Bobby withdrew after the dressage at Red Hills, so I would anticipate that this weekend will be his first XC run of the season, and yes, it looks like Buck is just taking it nice and easy to save the horse for later. After all, we know Bobby can handle CCI4*'s after last year's Rolex. With a horse like that, it's more a question of correctly navigating the spring season to end up with a sound but prepared horse. As with anything, it's a balancing act, and different riders decide to balance it different ways. I think the trend is definitely moving toward doing fewer events each spring.

Thanks John!!!
