We ask our wonderful EN readers to do certain things from time to time, whether to enter a contest to win a Point Two, to check out a sponsor’s website, to vote for Sinead on the athlete of the month voting, or to be safe on a Friday night. Eventing Nation has tens of thousands of readers and when we get together behind and idea, powerful things can happen. This memorial day weekend I want to ask you to serve those who serve us each and every day. This weekend’s EN challenge is to make a small act of kindness toward an active duty serviceman or woman or a veteran. Take a soldier you know out to lunch, buy someone in uniform a drink, walk up to someone in uniform at the mall and say thanks, or just call a relative who served and tell them how much you appreciate them. I stopped at Steak ‘N Shake for lunch earlier today and while I was getting my takeout order I bought lunch for a soldier named Justin and his family. I can guarantee that if you buy lunch for a soldier you will feel like it was the best money you spent all weekend. Go soldiers.
