Ah, the weekend. I’m sure many of you are hours ahead of me getting your weekend started at a horse show. As for me? I’m headed to go watch some Chiefs training camp – almost as exciting as watching High Performance Training Sessions, except with full pads and men in football pants and a little thing called a football. I guess I’ll take what I can get?

Is Tom Cruise getting into Kiwi racing? He was on hand to present the prizes for The Magnolia Cup Goodwood’s charity race yesterday. Don’t worry, plenty of selfies were taken in the process, and Mr. Cruise seemed to enjoy the racing festivities. [Tom Cruise Presents Prizes]

Eventing could be getting its own movie. Earlier this year we introduced you to Rick Hansberry, a screenwriter/producer from Lancaster, Pa. who after spectating at his first Rolex expressed an interest in creating a film representative of modern-day eventing. He went home, did some research and wrote a script, titled “Taking The Reins,” which is featured on the review website SimplyScripts today. “Essentially, this spotlight will create some wide publicity about the project and hopefully result in some serious interest in financing the project,” Rick explains.
