Big news, EN! Four-star winner, current German coach and overall rockstar of the sport Christ Bartle will be traveling to the U.S. in January to teach the USEA’s Instructor’s Certification Program Symposium on the East and West coasts, the USEA announced today.

Chris competed in both dressage and eventing on national teams for Great Britain before coaching the British eventing team at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games and 2000 Sydney Games. And he somehow found time to win Badminton in 1998 in the midst of his coaching responsibilities. He then started coaching the powerhouse German eventing team, which has won team gold medals at the last two Olympic games and most recent World Equestrian Games.

Chris will be at Galway Downs Jan. 16-17 to teach the West Coast symposium and at Ocala Jan. 19-20 to teach the East Coast symposium. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from a coach who has a tried and true formula for success. Exhibit A: Michael Jung, anyone?

And you could be one of the lucky few who gets to ride in the symposium as a demo rider for Chris! For information on being a demo rider for the East Coast Symposium, contact Sue Hershey at [email protected] or 412-963-6359. For information on being a demo rider for the West Coast Symposium, contact Wendy Wergeles at [email protected] or 805-344-1190.

Chinch has already sent in his application to be a demo rider, of course.
