View: Summer Ride in the Tusquittee Valley, from World Equestrian Brands

This week’s ears photo comes to us from the mountains of North Carolina, and was taken by reader Elisabeth while she was on a ride back in the early summer. It feels like winter is only a couple days around the corner and summer is already feeling like a distant memory! Thanks to Elisabeth for submitting, and as always, thank you for reading. Remember, if you’d like to submit an ears photo of your latest fall adventure or summer memory, please send it along with a caption describing it to: [email protected].

I captured this summer view at a neighbor’s cabin while hacking my 7 year old APHA gelding Free Verse in the mountains overlooking the Tusquittee Valley near my barn in Hayesville, North Carolina.  You can see why they are called the Blue Ridge Mountains when you look at the peaks which are farthest away. The beauty of the mountains never fails to take my breath away!
