It’s a Jeep Thing

William Fox-Pitt knows how to keep things efficient. From keeping his horse care routine simple yet effective to ensuring that his position enables the horse to move freely beneath him around a four-star cross-country course, William has certainly got his process down pat. Add William’s affinity for Jeep brand vehicles to this picture, and you’ve definitely got a winning equation.

William began his sponsorship partnership with Jeep in 2012, and the brand has since become synonymous with eventing royalty and success. At Rolex this weekend, the Fox-Pitt Eventing Club Jeep branded jackets were easy to spot, each one prompting the observer to follow said Club member around on the off chance they might be led to William himself. With a simple branding of equipment and clothing, the Jeep brand has firmly established itself as a staple member of the eventing community.

William and his wife, Alice, both drive Jeep brand vehicles at home and also piloted the Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee around the Bluegrass State this past weekend. “They’re quite handy to have,” William said. “We definitely get a lot of use out of them, what with all of the places we go with a lot of cargo in tow.” Both William and Alice are big fans of the Jeep brand, which is known for both its elegance and its ruggedness all at once. It is certainly refreshing to interact with a vehicle that is a workhorse but that can still clean up for business meetings or other affairs.

Having driven a Jeep brand vehicle myself in the past, I’ve come to be quite a fan of the brand. I appreciate its accessibility from a price point standpoint and also have been repeatedly impressed by the technology and elegance that has been implemented into the vehicles throughout the years. For equine enthusiasts, the Jeep is both affordable as well as efficient for your needs.

As we all know by now, William went on to win his third Rolex title in five years, a feat that is nothing short of extraordinary. William has firmly established his position at the top echelon of the sport, yet it was wonderful to see him still taking the time to sign autographs and pose for photos. Thanks to the generosity of the Jeep brand, I was able to spend some time getting to know William and Alice this weekend, and they are gracious and humble to the core.

Their willingness to interact with their masses of fans, all the while ensuring that William’s competitive position throughout the weekend was secure, was truly impressive to witness. As the Fox-Pitt Eventing Club continues to grow, so will the Jeep brand’s visibility as a powerhouse in the eventing industry. For more information on the Fox-Pitt Eventing Club, please email [email protected].
