It’s a busy weekend here at EN, and we’re thrilled that Poplar Place is also running FEI divisions — plenty of action to follow over the next few days! The dressage has wrapped up for the CIC3* and Advanced divisions, with Leslie Law and Brittany Kart leading each division, respectively.

Beatrice Ray Herme’s Tout de Suite is making his three-star debut with Leslie in the irons after stepping up to Advanced at Rocking Horse last month. We talented spotted the 8-year-old British Sport horse last year (Part I, Part II) and we’re excited to see this talented young horse stepping up this year.

“Colby” scored a 39.1, the only horse to break into the 30s in the CIC3*, with Leslie to take the lead overnight. He’s followed by Elinor MacPhail and Sally Crane’s RF Eloquence, who are headed to Rolex in April, who scored a 48 for second place overnight.

Julie Richards continues her string of success with a third place position after dressage aboard Urlanmore Beauty, who scored a 50.6. This is also a step up for Urlanmore Beauty, won won the CCI2* at Fair Hill last year and moved up to Advanced in February at Pine Top.

Kyle Carter and veteran Madison Park are in fourth place after the dressage on a score of 55.0. Madison Park most recently finished fifth in the Advanced at Rocking Horse last month.

Rounding out the top five in the CIC3* are Justine Dutton and Jollybo, another British Sport Horse. We also talent spotted Jollybo last year (Part I, Part II), and Justine posted on her Facebook that she was excited about their score, which showed great improvement. The 11-year-old mare also made her Advanced debut this year, most recently finishing 15th in the CIC3* at Red Hills.

Brittany Kart and the 19-year-0ld Thoroughbred gelding, Llewellyn are sitting atop the Advanced leaderboard after dressage, scoring a 31.4 to place them .3 penalties ahead of Rolex-bound Jordan Linstedt and RevitaVet Capato.

Brittany and Llewellyn entered Rolex in 2012 but unfortunately withdrew at the first horse inspection. She brought Llewellyn back out in 2014 and stepped back up to Advanced to kick off their 2015 season at Pine Top.

Jordan Linstedt and Capato will travel to North Carolina next, as they’re entered in the CIC3* at The Fork before their final stop in Kentucky. This pair scored a 31.7 for second place after the dressage today.

In third place are Lara Knight and Shooby Do, an 11-year-old Thoroughbred, who earned a 33.6. This is the Shooby Do’s second Advanced, and they’ve shaved nearly 10 points off their dressage score since finishing 22nd at Rocking Horse Winter II last month.

Elisa Wallace and Simply Priceless, also Rolex bound, are in fourth place on a score of 34.5. Jill Hopcroft’s Australian Thoroughbred is coming off an eighth place finish in the CIC3* at Red Hills.

Finishing off the top five in the Advanced are Nora Battig and Steppin’ Out, who will take a score of 35.3 into tomorrow.

The CIC3* and Advanced will show jump tomorrow, followed by cross country on Sunday. We’ll be posting more updates, as well as photos, as they become available.
