It was a beautiful weekend for eventing over the last few days, and one such event that turned heads was the Heart of the Carolinas Three-Day at Southern 8ths Farm. Hosting a traditional three-day event, the Heart of the Carolinas attracts eventing enthusiasts of all ages to experience eventing at its roots.
Myself? I had a very horse-rich weekend. Saturday consisted of Badminton live updates, followed by a few hours at the barn, followed by the Kentucky Derby, followed by the $100,000 Grand Prix at the Del Mar National Horse Show. It was basically an experiment in how many types of horse sport I could fit into one day. I think I did pretty well.
