The 2014 FEI Awards, to be held this December, have opened up nominations for equestrian heroes around the world. This is “the annual global search to reward excellence, commitment, dedication and courage within the equestrian community,” according to the FEI Awards website.
Categories for this annual award include:
- Best Groom
- Against All Odds
- Longines Rising Star
- FEI Solidarity
- Reem Acra Best Athlete
Last year, eventers were represented by Carmen Thiemann, who manages German Olympian Ingrid Klimke’s yard and took home the Best Groom honors. Other winners last year included Charlotte Dujardin for the Reem Acra Best Athlete Award and Reed Kessler for the Longines Rising Star Award.
