Phillip Dutton and Fernhill Fugitive will lead the charge on the first day of dressage at Rolex on Thursday, as ride times have just been released.

“Jack” will be contesting his second CCI4*, having finished ninth last year in Kentucky and also tenth individually as a part of the gold medal winning team at the Pan American Games last summer.

This means Phillip will also be our trailblazer on cross country Saturday, followed by fellow veterans Buck Davidson aboard Park Trader and Boyd Martin with Steady Eddie.

Many heavy hitters will ride their dressage tests on Thursday, typically the queiter day for dressage. Last year’s winners Michael Jung and fischerRocana FST will take the floor at 1:54 p.m. on Thursday, and other notables include Boyd Martin and Shamwari 4 as well as Tim Price and Bango.

Lillian Heard and LCC Barnaby are the first riders of the day on Friday — this 10-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding is making his CCI4* debut.

Also on the roster for Friday are Marilyn Little and RF Demeter, Blyth Tait and Xanthus III and Tiana Coudray and Ringwood Magister. Allison Springer and Arthur will close out the dressage and will also be the last out on cross country.

Of course, the horses must pass the first horse inspection on Wednesday before proceeding on to competition, but we’re excited to see the schedule for the weekend taking shape.

Stay tuned for much more from Kentucky! Go Rolex.
