Description: Position opening Dec. 1, 2010, for a full-time groom for a small upper level eventing barn in Fork Union, VA.  Duties to include all daily care of horses, exercise riding, general veterinary care and travel to shows.  Will travel yearly to FL or Aiken, SC January thru March.  Must have valid Driver’s License and be comfortable driving a large truck and trailer.  Candidate must be well organized, yet flexible, and work well with others.  Position requires good communication skills as will be communicating with owners and sponsors on a regular basis.  Candidates are not allowed to bring a horse, and should know up front, that there is no opportunity for training or competing, with this position.  There maybe a necessity at times to drag arenas and temporary repair of fences.  Positive attitude a must, and prior experience preferred.

Required Skills:  Exercise riding, clipping, lunging, bandaging, braiding, horse first aid and valid Driver’s License.
