It’s hard to believe but this time next week, we’ll be waiting with baited breath to see the best riders in the sport step in to the stadium to tackle the final phase of RK3DE 2016. It’s almost here, and that it will be gone in the blink of an eye. It’s always interesting to me to find out which phase is the most challenging mentally for other eventers.

Personally, I’m the most at ease in the show jumping ring. I was a jumper rider before I was an eventer, so show jumping day always feels like going home. As much as I love watching cross country, the tension that comes when horses and riders are tired and the rails threaten to come down at the lightest tap is my favorite. What about you?
