Move-in day: It’s not just for college freshman this weekend. Horses and riders from literally all around the world headed to the stables at Haras du Pin to officially begin their WEG week. Most of the teams arrived and set up shop today, but Team USA had their final gallops and are departing early tomorrow, as the journey from Chantilly is quite short.

Uh, yeah, we agree Meg.

The Australian horses started their journey today, traveling on the Portsmouth Ferry along the way. Thanks for the update, Shane Rose!

Badminton winner Sam Griffiths is taking his lovely mare, Paulank Brockagh, to the WEG. She’s a real beauty, and one of my favorites for sure.

The French eventing team arrived at Haras du Pin today! Fan favorite (OK, my favorite) Maxime Livio shared this pic of his horse, Qalao des Mers. Translated from his Facebook: “Qalao and Matilda have arrived on the lands of Haras du Pin. The whole team is installed! Next meeting Wednesday for the vet visit!”

The German eventing team arrived today as well, and according to Michael Jung, took care of priorities first. And by priorities, I mean the horses began stuffing their faces full of delicious French grass as soon as possible. Don’t worry, he didn’t forget a smiley face. Translated from Michael’s FB: The whole team has arrived in France. Rocaná feels right at home and the head directly on the grass “inserted” 😉  Tomorrow the trainer and riders will go once in the large stadium to Caen to get an overview.”

Check out Spain’s sweet setup! They arrived today and put all the fixings up in their stable. Looking very nice Spain!

I know this isn’t strictly Eventing related, but still. I mean, is this fate?

Most importantly, everybody is trying to be cool like and get their own Chinch. John Kyle, we can see your scheme!
