The Wait is Over: William Fox-Pitt Dons a Helmet Cam

This has to be a big first of some sorts: William Fox-Pitt wore a helmet cam on his ride with Fernhill Pimms today! Now the moment we’ve all been hoping for is here, seeing a cross country course through the eyes of one of the best riders in the world.

Fernhill Pimms, owned by Carol Gee and Catherine Witt, is contesting his first CCI4* this weekend at Burghley, and he certainly looked like anything but a rookie out there today. After tying for the lead in the dressage, some extra time bumped William and Pimms down into 13th position.

If you haven’t seen this round yet, you’re in for a real treat. Fernhill Pimms has a really neat way of going and is efficient and ground-covering in his gallop. He never loses his rhythm and William does an excellent job of giving him confidence as the course builds. By the end, it’s easy to tell that a four-star horse has emerged at the finish line.

Enjoy this great opportunity to see things from William’s perspective, thanks to Equine Productions Ltd!
