Full Moon Farm recently hosted the Aloha Recognized Horse Trials at their farm in Finksburg, Maryland and what a success it was! Full Moon went above-and-beyond for competitors that came to compete in 100+ degree temperatures.

With cooling stations at every phase, exceptional volunteers and a competitor party complete with sangria and fresh fruit, Full Moon Farm guaranteed horses and riders a fun day without any added stress in the heat. Full Moon Farm’s next recognized horse trials will be held on Nov. 13, the last event in Area II for the year so be sure to mark your calendar for this seriously competitor-friendly event!

News From Around the Globe:

Making the NAJYRC CIC** team is an enormous accomplishment, so lets meet the teams competing in Colorado this weekend! We already met the CCI* teams, and there are three teams competing in the CIC**. Because of entries, the teams are composite areas, ten riders in total. Traveling across the country is no mean feat, and these kids are in for the week of a lifetime! [NAJYRC CIC2* Teams & Riders]

What’re you doing this weekend when you could be volunteering at the beautiful Colorado Horse Park! NAJYRC is short of volunteers and is asking for your help! If you’ve got a driver’s license, you could be whizzing around in a golf cart Wednesday through Sunday. Other disciplines need help in a variety of days, so there’s something for everyone! Contact Carol Jones at (720) 346-4478 or Viv Van Buren at (303) 883-6560 if you’d like to lend a hand.

Stable View Farm is excited to host their very first Advanced Horse Trial this October. Speaking as somebody who competes at that level, I’m delighted to find another option for the fall schedule, especially at such a fantastic facility! There will be several horsey and “non-horsey” things going on for this event including: Aiken Horsepower antique car show, Carolina Moon Distillery 2-hour Happy Hour, VIP tent for sponsors, advanced course walks with Boyd Martin and Captain Mark Phillips and more.  Running BN-P and Advanced, this event is gonna be great. Better late than never, five Russian riders have been cleared to compete in Rio. After the World Anti Doping Agency found evidence of state-sponsored doping for Russian athletes at both the London and Sochi Olympics, they considered a blanket ban on all competitors. However, the IOC decided that each global federation could make case-by-case decisions, and the FEI has allowed five equestrians to compete. None of the five have ever failed a doping test either nationally or internationally. [Russian Riders Heading to Rio]
