News From Around the Globe:

Sorry, Bromont, but the real question for this weekend is: will we see another Triple Crown winner? The stakes are high for Saturday at Belmont Park, with Derby and Preakness winner Justify heading up post position number one, and already the heavy favorite for the third race in the Triple Crown. Jeanette Brakewell’s indomitable champion Over To You just celebrated his 30th birthday this week. Jack, as he’s known at home, is still to this day Britain’s biggest equine winner of international medals. He has both team and individual medals to his name from two Olympic games, three European championships, one WEG, and countless top placings at four-star events, including several FODs at Badminton of all places. Jack still enjoys attention from Jeanette, and lives a grand life. [Happy 30th Birthday, Over To You!]

Horses that are adjustable for all exercises: the golden standard. In this video from Eventing Training Online, Phillip Dutton shows how to train your horse at home to be much more adjustable at shows for more success. First, riders navigate two cross-rails on a bounce distance followed by four strides on a 90 degree turn to a second set of cross-rails. Riders roll back to the exercise the opposite direction, this time putting five strides between the two bounces. Read on to find more…[Make Your Horse Adjustable with P Dutty]
