Tuesday News & Notes from Legends Horse Feeds

The outstanding team of volunteers at the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event were hard at work on Easter Sunday. Decorators were busy making the five-star cross country course look absolutely perfect. What happens to all these gorgeous flowers after cross country day, you might wonder. The event says the decorations are carefully uprooted and reused to decorate Sunday’s show jumping phase. After the conclusion of the event, some are sold to volunteers and many others that were rented are returned.

Tuesday News:

We love the story of a horse that wasn’t bound for eventing, but is going to Badminton anyway. That’s the background of Carryon Bobby Boy, Julia Norman’s entry. This horse only started eventing 4 years ago, and makes his five-star debut in two short weeks. [Badminton first-timers: Julia Norman — ‘we never thought we would get this far’]

Dogs at events is a touchy subject. They are allowed at big events, leashed of course, but every few months there’s a story of a dog that chased someone around a cross country course. So if you’re bringing your furry friend to Kentucky this week, please be mindful. [Should I bring my dog?]
