Rise and shine, EN! Before you set your sleep cycles back to normal time, you should keep your eye on just one more event across the pond. This weekend, Blenheim is running a CCI3*, and we’ve got four American pairs for which to stalk the scores. Phillip Dutton has his pair of Fernhill horses, Fugitive and Cubalawn. Katherine Coleman is taking Courage Under Fire. And last but not least, former Area V YR Jacob Fletcher is attempting his first CCI3* on Atlantic Domino. I’ve known Jacob since he was a tween running Novice and Training, and I can’t be prouder of him for making the decision to base himself across the Atlantic in order to immerse himself in the sport. Go Jacob, go Americans, and go eventing!

East meets West at the Adequan Advanced Gold Cup Finals during the AECs.  Matt Brown and his Super Socks BCF have been dominating every west coast division they’ve entered this summer. Meanwhile, back east Laine Ashker and Anthony Patch have proven they have nerves of steel, winning two big Advanced divisions by less than a rail. Will one of them take the title home, or will someone else pull the upset? We’ll never know unless we help Matt Brown make the trek east and then further east. It’s not always obvious when it’s time to move up a level. In the SmartPak Blog, Jennifer Bagley talks about what signs to look for when you’re read to make the jump from one level to the next. She and her mare Tally just made the big move from Novice to Training.  [When To Move Up]

This week on the Eventing Radio Show: Rodney Powell and Jackie Green. This week hosts Jess and Samantha talk Burghley and re-hash WEG. There’s really no shortage of things to discuss this time of year. [Eventing Radio Show]

Wouldn’t it be great to win a Gold Cup series event at your second Advanced? Rebecca Buehler and Brighton have done just that, securing the win in the final Gold Cup leg of the year at Aspen Farms. [Rookies for the Win]

SmartPak Product of the Day: Fall is definitely knocking on the door, and around here, that means rain. Sometimes we have no choice but to ride in a downpour, and inevitably everything ends up soggy. The Horseware Brianna Riding Jacket will keep at least the top half of your body dry. [SmartPak]
