Unfortunately, the EN super team of Jenni and Kate will not be in attendance at Galway. However, thanks to Athletux, we have several exciting guest bloggers lined up to bring all the action from California.  Look for updates from Kristin Schmolze (competing in the CCI3*), Bill Olson (an adult amateur from CA competing in the Training division), and Alandra Halem (grooming Copycat Chloe).

Buck Davidson and Petite Flower win Galway Downs CCI3* – By half a point, Buck Davidson and Petite Flower have won the CCI3* at Galway Downs.  Buck had a rail in hand– barely– over Jolie Wentworth and Good Knight, and he needed it.  Jolie jumped a beautiful clear round, and the pressure was on…Petite Flower had one rail down, but it was still enough to earn her the win.

Kristin Schmolze: Galway Cross-Country – Kristin Schmolze is proud of her horse for jumping clear around Ian Stark’s difficult 3-star course.  Also included, a photo illustrating the difference in East Coast vs West Coast stud philosophies!

Video: Cross-Country at Galway – Thanks again to Frankie Theriot and Bright Horse Communications for a great recap video of cross-country day at Galway from the FEI divisions.

Saturday, 11/2

Galway CCI3* Scores After Cross-Country – The CCI3* leaderboard changed a lot at Galway, but the same name remains at the top:  Buck Davidson.  Buck and Petite Flower went double clear today on cross-country at Galway Downs to take the lead on 55.2.  Jolie Wentworth and Good Knight are second (59.7), followed by Emilee Libby and Nonsensical who moved up from 11th with a double clear.

Bill Olson: Galway CCI* Update – Tami Smith held her overnight lead in the CCI1* on Fleur de Lis after posting a double clear on Cross Country.   This was a difficult test; 8 horse and rider combinations failed to cross the finish line (all ok, no injuries).
