2013 Canadian National Eventing Team Announced

Go Canada!

Equine Canada has announced the short and long lists for the 2013 Canadian National Eventing Team. With a new coach in Clayton Fredericks and a hungry appetite for redemption after the London Olympics, the Canadians are going to be out to prove themselves this year. I have every confidence we are going to see some very impressive performances from Team Canada in 2013. Many of the newly named Canadian team riders will be meeting in Ocala next week at Clayton’s new facility, undoubtedly to discuss how they’ll be bringing their A game this season.

We are pleasantly surprised to see Michele Mueller and Amistad on the short list. After a tendon tear on cross country in London forced Amistad into early retirement, Michele speculated last fall that Amistad might try dressage once his leg healed. Amistad’s placement on the list might mean he wasn’t quite ready to hang up his galloping boots just yet.  Best wishes to the Canadian National Eventing Team for a fabulous season, and congrats to all the lucky riders who made the lists!
