6 US Horses Entered at Luhmuhlen and Ian Stark’s Comeback

The Luhmuhlen entry list has been posted.  Luhmuhlen, held from June 15th to June 19th in Germany, is hosting a CCI4* and a CIC3* this year.  The US has 6 entries:

Jennie Brannigan and Cambalda  CCI4*
Tiana Coudray and Ringwood Magister  CIC3*
Will Faudree and Pawloy  CCI4*
Will Faudree and Andromaque  CIC3*
Julian Stiller and Salsa  CCI4*
Julian Stiller and Chapel Amble  CCI4*

Julian Stiller is a British based US rider who EN readers will remember from us writing about previous European events, and she is entered at Luhmuhlen with an impressive two 4* horses.  The other US horses are all expected, and I think it’s a great step for Finian to get back in the game with a CIC3*.

There are a number of interesting other entries at Luhmuhlen.  Eventing legend Ian Stark is entered on Looks Similar in the CCI4*.  I know Ian has been talking about making a comeback to the 4* level this spring, but I hadn’t realized he would get there so soon.  I suppose Toddy’s success is bringing out the other retired veterans.

Great Britain has 16 Luhmuhlen entries, every single one of which is in the 4*.

WEG champion La Biothetique Sam is entered to make his 4* comeback after the massive ownership dispute earlier this year.  Michael Jung has been posting some amazing results this spring, even in cross-discipline events, and I will probably shock everyone by making this pair the early betting favorite in front of the hometown crowd.

Japan has one entry, Australia has 5, as does New Zealand.  Many of the Badminton horses who didn’t make it in off of the waiting list are heading to Luhmuhlen.

Go Luhmuhlen.
