Joe Meyer and Snip announced their arrival in the States in no uncertain terms with an eleventh place finish at Rolex this spring. Although that was to be Snip’s last four star event, Joe says he’ll keep him in work, and events like the CIC 3* here at Rebecca Farm will be his “semi-retirement”.
In typical Kiwi understatement, when Joe said his trip was quite tough, what he neglected to mention was that he had FIVE blowouts in on one day! There’s an old saying in England, that “it takes three times to teach a fool”, and you can call me a quitter, but I’d have given up long before the fifth, however I admire his tenacity nonetheless, and wish him the best of luck.
