Well friends, it’s way past due, but it’s time to announce the winners of our Riders4Helmets photos contest. It’s been a busy spring around the EN compound and picking winners was always the one thing the Chinchilla’s never got around to–until now. Even no one sent their photo in on top of a box filled with a Point Two Airjacket, we have decided to choose three winners. The Chinchilla’s winnowed the many entrants down to a few winners and they asked me to explain how hard it was–we got a ton of great entries. The 3 winners will receive brand new Riders4Helmets saddle pads to reward them for their creativity and love of helmets. The point of this whole contest is to raise helmet awareness and remind you to always wear your helmet. Thanks to our friends at Riders4Helmets for all of their efforts and for donating the saddle pads. If you didn’t win this time, don’t worry, the next EN contest is right around the corner.
1) Cute kid+helmet+cute rocking horse=instant win.
2) I’m not sure if it was the military theme, the expression on the horse’s face, the side saddle creativity, or just the overall picture, but the chinchillas liked this one:
Stephanie send in the following explanation with the photo: This is a photo of me riding side saddle on my Appaloosa gelding, Romeo at the Conyers Christmas parade. The theme of the parade was a “Cartoon Christmas”. I am riding as Tinkerbell. Under all those flowers and leaves is a helmet. Two of the ROTC gentleman in the photo had never petted a horse before. It made their day.

Go helmets.
