Due to the amount of rain that hit Plantation Field in PA yesterday and the damage it caused to the footing and the grounds, the TD and organizers made the decision this morning to cancel the event entirely. I’m sure the fact that today was cross country day made it all the easier for them to make the call to cancel, as taking chances of running on bad footing this early in the season is never the best idea. The good news is that the weekend at least got to run as a combined test, giving the horses and riders an opportunity to practice for later in the season.
The notice was posted on the Plantation Field website as of 7 this morning.
