Saturday Morning at BHT 2011

Despite looking beautiful, Badminton first timer Lucie McNicholl looked incredibly nervous walking up towards the arena on Zeus of Rushall, hence the Z on her quarters. She currently sits in 27th on 62.78, very respectable.

Buck Davidson and Ballynoe Castle RM looked as good as they ever have in the warm-up, and when Buck came out, he said it was the best test Reggie had ever done.
Kilfinnie came out with reigning Badminton Champion Paul Tapner looking absolutely stunning, although (call me old-fashioned but,) I do find that breastplate a bit distracting for dressage.

He got a bit tense at the end of his test, but what a nice horse. Another nice Australian horse came into the warm up, Sam Griffiths riding Happy Times, would love to see them do well again here, after their 3rd place here in 2009, but unhappy time at WEG.

Caroline Ryan-Bell, who we got so used to seeing over here on the wonderful Hooray Henry, (5 completions) now has a lovely partner in Rathmoyle King.

Lots more good combinations still to come including two more Canadians, Go Canucks, and Karen O’Connor for the US. Thanks for reading and Go Eventing.
