Yesterday marked the victorious return to competition for Kyle Carter and Madison Park, his beloved partner for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2010 World Equestrian Games. Parker suffered a devastating injury at the Blenheim CCI3* in 2011 when he tore a ligament and slipped a tendon off his hock during cross country. The road back to a full recovery has been long and slow, but Kyle never gave up hope that Parker would one day return to competing. Time will tell if Parker will ever romp around a four-star course again, but he had a very successful preliminary debut at Longwood Farm in Ocala this weekend. “He was very good — tied for the lead on the flat and finished on it to win,” Kyle said. We’re thrilled to see this pair back in action and wish them all the best in their quest back to the top. Go Parker!
