This week EN’s Managing Editor Sally Spickard is on the ground at the $100,000 Stirling Venture Capital Grand-Prix Eventing Showcase at Bruce’s Field, but before that she stopped over at Stable View to catch a quick ride with show jumping Olympian Peter Wylde, who took Jennie Brannigan’s FE Lifestyle (owned by Tim and Nina Gardner) for a spin in a dressage lesson before hopping aboard one of Boyd Martin’s horses for a cross country school — now we’re waiting for the day he sends in an entry for his first event!

Originally established at the USEF Eventing Young Rider Championships, the Youth Mentorship Program will be offered for the first time for collegiate members and gives participants the opportunity to shadow eventing officials and learn more about the behind-the-scenes professions that make our sport possible.
