If you’re heading to Defender Burghley next month, there are a lot of ways to support the Georgie Campbell Foundation as they have a full slate of activities and donation opportunities on the docket. On Friday, the final day of dressage (September 5), an evening of drinks, charcuterie and cross country previews with Jesse Campbell, Tom McEwen, Andrew Heffernan and Nicole Brown will be available with the advance purchase of a ticket. Tickets can be purchased here, where you can also find information on a special online auction as well as a raffle to win a variety of prizes. All proceeds will benefit the Georgie Campbell Foundation.

The Mongol Derby kicked off today (Mongolian time), sending a whole roster of talented / insane riders across the Mongolian Steppe for the longest horse race in the world. As usual, more than a few eventers are represented on the list of competitors, including Pan American Games eventer Michael Pollard and amateur FEI rider Hugh Wrigley, to name just a couple. Six horses are currently fully qualified and eligible for the USEA Turner/Holekamp Le Lion d’Angers Grant to compete at the 2025 FEI WBFSH Eventing World Breeding Championships (October 16-20) in France. These horses will be on the rack to compete in the CCI3*-L championship for 7-year-olds, and owners must indicate their intent to compete by September 1. Read more about who’s qualified here.
The US Equestrian Open of Eventing is coming down to the wire as competitors duke it out for the big leaderboard bonus for the most points accumulated by the end of the season at Morven Park.
