Here are some more pictures that I didn’t have time to upload earlier.
Opposition Buzz: you saw his bum earlier, now you get to see his head! Watching his stable mate Bee Diplomatic trot up. Yes, he had the white rose for Yorkshire on his quarters, Hilary Manners from eventingworldwide actually told me that, but I forget to put it in, my bad! Also thanks to Sam Watson, 4* rider AND blogger who not only survived his first press conference on “the other side” this evening, but even asked some pithy questions! Poor Sam had the misfortune to sit close to me and has now become my go to man for anything Irish.
2009 winner Oli Townend with Ashdale Cruise Master
Mark Todd with Major Milestone. The general consensus is that NZV Land Vision is the better horse, but everyone would be happy to see Toddy win on either one.
Gerroff! That’s my toe!
Duarte Seabra and Fernhill Gloster Rebel (both very handsome!)
Tina Cook and Miner’s Frolic who looks fantastic
Harry Meade and Wild Lone
Thanks again to Nico Morgan for this picture of Susanna Bordone from Italy, and her mother’s Carrera. Nico also took the photos of the US riders below. Please check out his website, he does fantastic work of all sorts of things apart from eventing, including hunting and weddings!
Also, a thank you to Eventing Safety John for the heads up that this beautiful mare Carrera is the SECOND horse that Susanna has bought from Stuart Tinney, the first was her precious and equally successful mare, Ava. Thanks for the tip, ESJ!
Buck Davidson (wearing his trademark lucky red & yellow spotty socks) and Ballynoe Castle RM. Thanks to Nico Morgan for the picture.
Jennifer Wooten and The Good Witch, the horse that kick started the Fernhill Dynasty

Karen O Connor returns to Badminton, this time with Mandiba

The trot up was great fun, the horses all looked quite amazing, although maybe I’m getting rather old because I really was a bit disapproving of some of those outfits – in the US it’s called a “jog”, you’re supposed to run! I can’t wait for dressage tomorrow, but before then I’m going to upload a couple of great videos I got while wandering around today. Thanks for sticking with me. Go Badminton, and Go Eventing!
