This weeks “A View From My Horse” is special because the picture is from a good friend of mine. If I ever get to go on a non-horse related vacation someday, Hawaii is definitely on the top of my list! Hi, my name is Sue. In the fall of 2008, my husband and I traveled to Hawaii for my sister’s wedding. After a week and a half, and 3 different islands, we finally landed on the island of Oahu. We spend 5 days on the north shore at the Turtle Bay Resort. Lucky for me, they had a small riding stable and offered beach rides. After admitting that I did know how to ride, I was given “the daughters old barrel horse”. I feared I might be in for a jiggy ride, but he was happy to bring up the rear at a nice walk. I hooked the reins over my arm and took lots of pictures of the beautiful scenery. This picture is looking out over the Pacific Ocean. It was a really nice ride and we saw where part of the TV series Lost was filmed.
