Update: Well, it took a few days, but the EN Chinchillas have meticulously narrowed the captions down to 11 finalists. If your caption was not selected, take it up with the Chinchillas, but I warn you that, although they may be cute and cuddly rodents, they do not suffer fools gladly. Vote for your favorite caption, the winner gets a $40 gift certificate to Nunn Finer from our good friend John Nunn. Word is that Boyd was in France this weekend looking at a new horse to add to his arsenal, so hopefully Nev and Remi have a new stablemate.

From Dec 1st: I have a confession. I haven’t started my Christmas shopping, and I anticipate that, as usual, my last few days before Christmas will be spent in a rush to buy and wrap presents. The Eventing Nation Christmas cards will probably get sent out January 3rd. If you are a shopping procrastinator like me, then I have some good news. The first thing you should do to get a start on holiday gifts is enter our Eventing Nation Point Two contest to win a free Point Two.
The next step is to think of a fun caption for today’s photo contest. Eventing Nation’s good friend John Nunn is sponsoring the contest with a $40 Nunn Finer gift certificate.

The EN Chinchillas will select their 10 favorite captions and then we’ll add a poll to the post with the 10 finalists so Eventing Nation can pick the winner by democracy mob rule. Be sure to include your email in the comment submission form, not in your caption itself. The EN writers are welcome to write captions, but they are not eligible to win, sadly.
I considered putting the photo on Hahahorses.com, but it’s probably only truly entertaining to eventers who know about Boyd. The photo is from a Boyd Martin clinic at CSW Farm in Germantown NY and David Caruso, an EN reader, was kind enough to send us the photo. I’d say Boyd looks pretty enthusiastic about something, but the question is: what is he so excited about?
