Bring It On 2011

The New Year is here! Welcome to 1/1/11 Eventing Nation. When John asked me to write the New Years post, which I agreed to because of my non-existent mello plans, he specifically said to make it “happy.” It got me to thinking that maybe my posts, or my life, all have tragic and depressing undertones, so Resolution Number 1 for 2011 is to be more positive on all fronts.
Here is the news:
It was announced yesterday afternoon that the Broussard family has established a Developing Riders grant in the late Rebecca Broussard’s honor. The Grant will be awarded annually and administered by the USEA Endowment Trust. Click here to donate. Even with the passing of a wonderful patron to the sport, its clear that Ms. Broussard’s influence extended to enough people in her lifetime that her legacy will extend far past it.
Why is Ecogold so smart? I don’t know, but their knowledge sure extends far beyond saddle pads and cross-country boots. They’ve just written a new blog post in their “Sponsorships” series, this one with tips for young professionals in the process of finding and maintaining sponsorship.
Stephanie Rhodes-Bosch has written a blog entry with some positive insights on the year of 2010; with a fourth at Rolex and a silver medal at the WEG and all when she’s only 21, I’d say that’s a pretty good year. Go Steph!
One final look at 2010, in photos by Leslie Threlkeld. Three-Days Three-Ways has the article.
Bran Mash: What is it really good for?
