Chatting with the riders

Samantha caught up with a few riders after their show jumping rounds at Burghley and she asked me to post them since she had to get started on her travels.  Sinead gave Manoir De Carneville a lot of credit and talked about how she might have overridden him a bit in the arena.  Congrats to Sinead and her team on a great weekend!

Clarke Johnstone of New Zealand had a great clear show jumping round on Incognito and they finished in 17th place.  Clarke credited the Burghley course with being larger than the track in Kentucky for the World Equestrian Games:

Samantha also touched base with Lauren Shannon of Great Britain after her ride on Zero Flight.  Lauren moved up from 35th to 9th over the weekend by adding just 2.8 time penalties on the cross-country to her dressage score.  Lauren is a Horse and Hound blogger, she has her own website here, and she is a recent addition to our EN readership according to her Twitter. Welcome Shannon and thanks for doing the interview with Samantha:

Go eventing.
