Favorite Eventing moment/story?: It just might have to be FENCE weekend… What a beautiful place with wonderful management, volunteers, etc. I was so looking forward to that weekend and just had it feeling it was going to be a great weekend. And it was!! Everything just came together so nicely… we had a good dressage test for us, then went clean XC and had an absolute blast! Fleck was forward, happy, bold and ready to go! Then… we went clean in stadium and managed to move up from 3rd (I think) to 1st. WOW!! We’ve never won an event! It was such a good weekend because it finally… for one show…. all came together in one weekend 🙂
If you had to pick one reason why you love Eventing, what would it be? There are so many things to love about eventing…the friendships, the fact that a good cross country run can make up for a whole weekend of not so goodness, the spirit of competition but still helping everyone out and receiving help, and… even dressage! But.. the best part of it.. is the relationship it has helped create with my horse. We are partners, a team, the dynamic duo (on some days!), and… it’s just amazing. I know him inside and out, and I feel like he also “gets” me more. It has helped blossom my horse into a fit, brave, confident and smart horse! We are a team and we rock!!!
Overall Goals in the sport: We’d like to do well at prelim and ultimately run a prelim three day.
