While many were pulling for Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint champ Groupie Doll to win the Cigar Mile, Saturday was not her day. She battled traffic coming down the stretch, but never quit fighting to get up for fourth, out of the money by a head. Flat Out, a 7-year-old son of Flatter, made a sweeping move on the turn to stay in the clear and finish with the win.
