One Big Thing: One Day Down at Marbach Nations Cup
Our first Nations Cup Qualifier CCIO4*-NC-S is underway this weekend at Marbach in Germany, and — as certainly no one could have possibly predicted — reigning Olympic Gold Medalists Michael Jung and fischerChipmunk FRH have taken the lead following our first day of competition with a dressage score of 21.2 — 5.2 faults ahead of Felix Vogg and Colero currently in #2.
With all riders from Home Team Germany currently holding their own in the leaderboard’s top 10 — to also include Libussa Lubbeke on Caramia FRH, Ben Leuwer on Zuccini MN, and former Olympic Champion Julia Krajewski riding Tullabeg Platinum, as well as German individuals Nina Schultes and Grand Prix IWEST — Germany holds a great advantage during the 4*-S rest day today as we prepare for all 47 riders to leave the start box tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. CEST/7:00 a.m. EST.
