One Big Thing: Remembering Class Action LP
Today, we bid a fond farewell to Class Action LP, longtime partner of Hayley Frielick, who passed away this past week at the age of 23. He and Hayley competed across Australia from some of his first international events to finishing in the top 10 at their first 5*. Sold to Hayley as a 12-year-old, the Thoroughbred was found by previous rider and owner Libby Price when she “dragged him out of a paddock in Rupanyup without even getting on him” — truly a one-in-a-million climb to the top.
“I will forever count my lucky stars for having the privilege of being your partner,” said Hayley of her late partner on social media, “and owe you a debt of gratitude for everything you taught me and carrying me around my first 5*. You will always hold a special place in my heart and in the hearts of all those who you touched with your genuine kind soul and wonderful character. I wasn’t looking for a horse when I found you, and you maybe weren’t a standout 5* type at first glance, the dressage certainly did not come naturally but you had an absolute heart of gold and took such wonderful care of all those lucky enough to ride you. Your generosity was the stuff of legends, and you gave me the confidence to dream big and hang on for the ride (even if sometimes i took that a bit too literally). I have such fond memories of my two bay boys, half brothers and debuted at their first 5* together, and I know you’ll be hanging out with Hapman again over the rainbow bridge.”
