Many thanks to Frankie Thieriot and Bright Horse Communications for this great video recapping the first day of festivities at Galway Downs. The first horse inspection fell on Halloween, so lots of riders dressed up in costumes for the occasion. Taren Atkinson trotted up Gustav as Wonder Woman, and other members of the Justice League made appearances at the jog as well. It’s Taren’s first two-star with Gustav, so we’re sending her all the EN karma for a good trip around.
It was also EN guest blogger James Alliston’s birthday yesterday. Happy birthday, James! He’s riding Talisker in the CCI*, which is the horse’s first one-star, and you also get to see a glimpse of this very handsome horse in the video. Tamie Smith also speaks a bit about Sunsprite Syrius, the 5-year-old YEH West Coast Reserve Champion, and then we hear from Jennifer McFall, who talks about 4-year-old champion Classic Twain DF. And last but not last, we also hear from Sara Mittleider, owner and rider of 5-year-old champion Code Name. Go Galway Downs!
