Get well soon, Madeline Parisan

Young rider Madeline Parisan — who was just interviewed for EN’s Rising Stars yesterday — was kicked by her horse last night and flown by helicopter to Johns Hopkins, where she was treated for a lacerated liver. Luckily, the injury will heal quickly, but she can’t ride for eight weeks. Madeline’s mom, Kim, said she will be back in the saddle in time for the spring season. Let’s all send well wishes to Madeline, who I’m sure could use some cheering up right now.

Madeline and her gelding Hope to Star, or Carson as he’s known around the barn, completed their first CIC* at Plantation Field this year, where they placed 19th and fifth among other juniors. After running a full season at Preliminary in 2012, I’m sure Madeline has big plans for this season. The EN team is happy to hear that this injury won’t keep her on the sidelines for too long. Chin up, Madeline. Kick on!
