Many Area I riders spent the weekend of June 11-12 competing at Valinor Farm H.T. in Plymouth, Massachusetts, helping the event celebrate its 10 year anniversary!

Split between two days, riders competed in divisions from Intro to PT. Besides a little rain on Saturday there was nice weather overall for an enjoyable weekend. Most riders were pleased to find that show jumping was in the all-weather arena instead of the hilly grass ring, and there were newly designed cross country tracks that rode very well!

New sponsors provided amazing prizes to help award riders, which included TIP awards, optimum time awards, lowest dressage score, best overall score for both days, and huge prizes for first through fourth place!

This was my horse’s first event back after an injury, and he cleaned up nicely to take the win in the Prelim-Training division on Saturday. Unfortunately I had to scratch my Novice ride for Sunday, so I spent the day fence judging and watching other riders rock around the course. Overall I was very impressed with both the showjumping and cross country tracks, and I love all the new improvements being made to keep the quality of the event top-notch!
