The Retired Racehorse Training Project’s 100-Day Challenge concludes tomorrow at the PA Horse World Expo in Harrisburg, Pa. Four Thoroughbreds — Declan’s Moon, Alluring Punch, Suave Jazz and Gunport — have battled it out for top honors, each one serving as a wonderful example of how ex-racehorses are ideally suited for second careers. Here’s a look at the judges who will determine which Thoroughbred will be crowned the victor of the 100-Day Challenge:

  • Nick Karazissis — a leading hunter/jumper trainer from California who grew up riding Thoroughbreds
  • Bev Strauss — eventer, racehorse trainer and director of MidAtlantic Horse Rescue, one of the country’s oldest and most respected Thoroughbred placement organizations
  • Donnan Jones — a dressage guru to international eventers for decades, Olympic dressage rider and wife of legendary Throughbred bloodstock agent Russell Jones

But the decision isn’t only being left up the three judges. If you’ve followed along with EN’s coverage of the 100-Day Challenge, be sure to vote in the polls on the RRTP website before the final evaluation and judging tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m.. There are six polls to determine which of the Thoroughbreds you think are best suited for the following categories:

  • Dressage
  • Three-Day Eventing
  • Show Hunter
  • Show Jumper
  • Foxhunter and Trail Horse
  • The One You Wish You Could Own
