Eventing Nation and the MARS Maryland 5 Star are proud to introduce an all-new opportunity for fans and riders alike: the Maryland Masterclass, debuting Friday, October 17 during the lunch break between the 3* and 5* dressage.
This inaugural event kicks off with a course walk of Sawmill Field led by former Maryland 5 Star cross country Course Designer, Ian Stark. Few know the terrain and its challenges better, and Stark will share his trademark insight on what makes Maryland’s track both thrilling and educational.
Following the course walk, guests will enjoy a provided lunch and Q&A session with newly appointed 2025 designer, Pierre Le Goupil, hosted in the scenic Sawmill Waterfront Club. With Eventing Nation’s Sally Spickard emceeing the discussion, it promises to be a lively and informative conversation offering a rare look into the mind of one of the sport’s most influential designers.
