Good Morning Eventing Nation! How are you feeling after the heat wave of the past couple days? After several days of working through the worst of the heat and trying to be semi-productive, I finally called it a day around noon yesterday, and went to see ‘Horrible Bosses’ at the theatre and bask in the air conditioning for a couple hours. If you haven’t seen it, you should because it’s a good laugh. And if you’re ever contemplating ousting your boss, please do a better job of it then those guys did. Anyway, If your competing today, I wish you good luck and a cool forecast, and if you’re not, I wish you a wonderful Saturday anyway!

Speaking of this weekend’s competitions, they are:

The Event at Rebecca Farm [Live Scores]
Fitch’s Corner H.T. [Live Scores]
Hunter Oaks H.T. [Live Scores]
Gemwood H.T. [Live Scores]
Olney Farm H.T [Live Scores]

We mentioned a couple of weeks ago that Fitch’s Corner HT, in New York, will be Boyd and Neville’s first full run back after the fire in the Preliminary section. They would be leading the division after the dressage on a 29.6, but are competing HC, so technically, Boyd’s leading on his other ride, Crackerjack. Boyd and Neville did an Intermediate Combined Test at Maryland last weekend, and did very well. They’re are getting to the point in their relationship where they are a bit like a baseball catcher and his favorite mitt; a good catcher can catch the ball just the same with any mitt, but there is something about the familiarity of his favorite  one that leads to an extra special performance.  Boyd’s enough of a rider to get the results out of anything he rides, but the result is very special when he’s riding Neville.

Fitch’s Corner is also the host of the Area I Championships this weekend- Ferial Johnson and Bali Hai are leading the Preliminary Championship division on 35.2, Ava Wehde and Watson’s Amirah are leading the Junior Training Championship on 34.2, and Kelley Mariano and Uno are leading the Senior Novice Championships on a 29.

And here are your links for this morning:
That’s all for now, Eventing Nation! Stay tuned and have a great day!
