Saturday Links

Good Morning Eventing Nation, and welcome to AEC Saturday. It feels a little strange to write about the final day of show jumping at the AEC’s (For Advanced through Training) on a Saturday, but that won’t take away from what is sure to be a very exciting day.  A winner will be crowned in the $20,000 Merial sponsored Advanced division (Let’s hope for Arthur’s sake that any horse statues haven’t found their way into the arena), and I’m sure the rest of the divisions will all have nail-biting finishes as well.

The AEC isn’t the only event happening this weekend:
Blenheim is also this weekend, which means we have a big North American crowd to root for over there. It’s not a big surprise that Bettina Hoy is leading on Lanfranco TSF with a 42.4, but I’m sure the Brits were quite surprised and pleased that Piggy French is placed second and third on her two rides. Clark Montgomery is the highest placed American in seventh with a 45.4, Jules Stiller is just behind in eighth, Tiana and the stunning Ringwood Magister lie 13th. I’m sure Will was slightly disappointed with his score on Pawlow, a 53.3, which leaves him tied for 27th.  Kyle Carter and Madison Park sit in 36th place, after having an error in his test. The complete Blenheim results can be viewed here
Copper Meadows HT: [Live Scores] Alexa Perkiel is leading the Open Intermediate on Apres Ski with a 25.4. Bea di Grazia is leading the OI Championship division on a 22.4 with Lad’s Night Out.

King Oak Farm Horse Trials is also running in Massachusetts today, but unfortunately they don’t have live scoring. However, you can visit their website for more information here

That’s all for now, Eventing Nation. Whether your competing at Blenheim, the AEC’s, or Copper Meadows, have a great day and a great ride. If your like me and not competing, have a great Saturday.
